Serious heat returns Thursday Afternoon


HEAT ADVISORY for Chautauqua and Montgomery counties in Kansas, and Cherokee, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Pittsburg, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington counties through 8 PM Thursday.

  • Muggy conditions expected into Thursday morning
  • The heat index will climb well above 100 after noon through early evening area-wide
  • Scattered t-storms likely form Thursday afternoon and again Friday
  • One or two storms possible for the holiday weekend with slightly cooler air
