After serving her time in the print world, Sharon was eager to get back in the fast-paced world of news. She was hired by FOX23 News in January of 2008 as the morning show reporter where she spent two years covering breaking news for the four hour Emmy award-winning morning newscast.

She later said goodbye to a 2am wake-up call and moved to the 5 and 9 p.m. newscasts where she’s covered everything from education, courts and crime. Sharon’s career in news led her to cover national events like the devastating tornado in Moore as well as President Obama and his trip to Oklahoma. Telling stories and covering the people of Green Country is a passion for her, and being a part of the team that won a national Edward R. Murrow award in 2014 was a career highlight.

When she’s not reporting Sharon loves spending time with her husband and their daughter. Being a mother is a life-long dream come true for her. Balancing work and being a mom is a challenge at times, but also her greatest joy. Sharon loves to travel and has been on several cruises to the Caribbean.  She also loves to shop, spend time with family and friends and enjoys visiting the local zoo and aquarium.

She currently volunteers her time with CureSearch, an organization that raises money for childhood cancer. She has been the emcee for the walk for the past three years. She also passionately supports Joy In The Cause, a local charity whose mission is to provide care, compassion and joy one personal act of kindness at a time, helping those with life altering illness and special needs.

Sharon lives in Bixby with her husband who is a local police officer, their daughter and their cocker spaniel, Dash.
