• Thunder releases 2019-20 schedule | Westbrook's return set for Jan. 9

    Former Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook will return to Oklahoma City on Thursday, Jan. 9 as a member of the Houston Rockets.

    The Thunder released its 2019-20 schedule in a news release Monday, unveiling its home reunion dates with former stars Westbrook and small forward Paul George, now with the Los Angeles Clippers (Dec. 22).

    OKC will play the Rockets in Houston Oct. 28 and the Clippers in L.A. Nov. 18.

    The Thunder opens the season on the road against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, Oct. 23, with its home opener against the Washington Wizards coming Friday, Oct. 25.

    The Thunder will be featured on national TV/cable twelve times - twice on ESPN (Feb. 21 vs. Denver and Feb. 28 vs. Milwaukee); once on TNT (Jan. 9 vs. Houston); and NBA TV is set to televise nine Thunder games.

    For the third consecutive year, the Thunder will play the Dallas Mavericks on New Year's Eve. Oklahoma City will host this year's contest. 

    The Thunder will not play on Christmas Day for the first time since 2009.
