OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Houston Rockets on Thursday, serving as a homecoming of sorts for former star Russell Westbrook.
The team traded Westbrook to the Rockets during the offseason after a blockbuster deal with Paul George and the Clippers left the team reeling.
Thursday’s game is the first time Westbrook has returned to Chesapeake Energy Arena since the trade.
The team played a tribute video to honor Westbrook before the start of the game. They shared it on social media.
