OWASSO, Okla. - Owasso High School is making more room in their trophy case after being presented Fans in the Stands Champions during their assembly Thursday afternoon.

"We worked hard for it, " Owasso spirit crew senior Pyper Bowman said. "All those two hours drives, we tried to get all the fans we could to go. It's awesome. This trophy kinda of symbolizes our community not just our team. So, it's something the community won."

Owasso had eight top-five appearances in the Fans in the Stands rankings, including two number one standings.

The Owasso football team won the 6-A I football state championship also in 2017.
