EDMOND — Owasso’s bid for its first perfect season and second state title in three years was in peril until defensive end Haydon Grant turned everything around Saturday night for the Rams.

Grant’s first career interception ignited a comeback that carried top-ranked Owasso past No. 3 Jenks 14-6 in the Class 6AI state final before an estimated 7,000 fans at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Wantland Stadium.

Owasso (13-0) completed it first perfect season. Jenks (8-5) lost in the state final for the second consecutive year.
