NORMAN — The No. 1/1 Oklahoma softball team advanced to its 10th straight NCAA Super Regional with a 2-0 win over Wisconsin in the final game of the NCAA Norman Regional on Sunday.
The Sooners (52-3) bounced back from a 2-1 loss in game one of the day, marking OU’s first loss since Feb. 22. It snapped streaks of 49 straight home wins and 41 consecutive wins overall.
Nonetheless, OU kept its season alive with the shutout win in the nightcap. Giselle Juarez (25-1) scattered four hits in a complete-game performance, striking out eight batters.
Oklahoma will host Northwestern in the Super Regionals. A full schedule for next weekend is to be determined.
