TULSA, Okla. - It's hard to find Isabelle Packard not in the pool. Swimming has become her life. Isabella trains every single day. The Metro Christian senior just blew the competition out of the water at the 5A regional, winning the 200 freestyle by 17 seconds and the 500 by nearly a minute. Believe it or not, she did it all while sick.

“I had a stomach bug during the actual swim meet,” Packard said. “So that was a little bit of a struggle just trying to feel good when you swim.”

But despite her stellar performance in the pool at regionals, she says it still wasn't good enough heading into state this weekend.

“I didn't go as close to my best times as possible. I was happy with how I placed and everything, but the time is more important to me I guess,” Packard said.

She says she’s her biggest critic. Isabelle will be pushing herself to break some state records this weekend as she competes in her last meet for the Patriots.
