Second-ranked Metro Christian won a thriller over number three Vian 42-34 in the Class 2A state finals Saturday night at UCO’s Wantland Stadium in Edmond.

It’s the Patriots’ first football state title in school history. It was also the first time they even played in a title game.

Metro Christian quarterback Asher Link had a hand in all six Patriot touchdowns, either throwing for the TD or running it in himself.
