TULSA - Another amazing chapter in the Jenks-Union football rivalry was produced in the Class 6AI semifinals Saturday afternoon.
Noah Hernandez's 1-yard touchdown run as time expired carried second-ranked Jenks past No. 3 Union 27-24 at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
The Trojans (11-1) advance to the state final at 7 p.m. Nov 30 at Chapman Stadium against the winner of the Broken Arrow-Owasso game later Saturday. It will be Jenks' first title game appearance since winning four championships in a row from 2012-15.
