The Philadelphia Eagles tweeted that they have signed Lucas to a three-year contract

- Lucas worked out for Philadelphia in May, at which time the Eagles did not sign him but told him to stay ready and that he was at the top of their list of free agents to sign
- He will now join his former quarterback at Tulsa, Dane Evans, who signed a three-year contract with the Eagles in June
Lucas has overcome letdowns from NFL teams that looked into signing him, primarily backing out over concerns about his injury history. See that story here.
