Jenks High School confirmed Saturday that boys basketball head coach Clay Martin is in the hospital.
Martin was admitted to St. Francis Hospital over the weekend after quarantining in his home for nearly two weeks.
He moonlights as a NFL referee. Martin has been on the NFL’s “COVID list” for three weeks.
It’s unclear whether Martin had tested positive for the virus. Jenks Public Schools spokesman Rob Loeber said Martin sent a message to his players encouraging them to work hard while he was hospitalized.
Martin is 45.
The Martin family gave this statement to FOX23: “Our family is very appreciative of all of the heartwarming messages that we’re receiving. Clay is receiving medical attention at St. Francis. Our family will continue to find peace in our faith, each other, and many, many people who we are blessed to call friends.”
