Jenks basketball coach Clay Martin released from hospital

Jenks boys basketball coach Clay Martin has been released from St. Francis Hospital, Martin confirmed to FOX23 on Monday.

Martin was admitted over the weekend after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and an infection in both lungs.

Martin, 45, is also a NFL referee and had been on the league’s “COVID list” for three weeks.

Jenks Public Schools spokesman Rob Loeber said Martin sent the team a message encouraging them to work hard while he was hospitalized and not to worry about him.

The Martin family gave this statement to FOX23: “Our family is very appreciative of all of the heartwarming messages that we’re receiving. Clay is receiving medical attention at St. Francis. Our family will continue to find peace in our faith, each other, and many, many people who we are blessed to call friends.”
