The Tulsa Drillers announced Monday pitcher Clayton Kershaw will make a rehab start for the Drillers Tuesday at ONEOK Field.
The three-time National League Cy Young winner is recovering from shoulder inflammation he developed during spring training. Kershaw has yet to appear in the big leagues this season.
The Los Angeles Dodgers ace will take the mound against the Springfield Cardinals Tuesday to follow up his start last Thursday for the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers. Kershaw gave up two runs and struck out six in 4 1/3 innings.
Kershaw will be looking to up his pitch count of 61 in his previous start as he works his way back into major league shape. The Dodgers said last week he would likely need at least one more rehab start before he is ready to return to the team.
Tickets for Tuesday night's game are available here. The game begins at 7:05 p.m.
