• Broken Arrow, Pryor make state finals; Jenks, Coweta, Collinsville fall short

    Broken Arrow will take on Edmond Santa Fe in the Class 6A baseball state title game Saturday at 3:30 pm at ONEOK Field in Tulsa. Pryor will play Carl Albert in the Class 5A championship right before that at 1:05 pm.

    The Tigers earned their way to the title game by beating Stillwater 3-2 Friday at Bixby High School. The Trojans almost joined BA in the finals. The Tiger were up 7-2 over Edmond Santa Fe in the sixth inning before the Wolves came storming back. Oklahoma State football signee Trace Ford hit a walk-off grand slam in the seventh inning to give Edmond Santa Fe the 9-7 win.

    Pryor beat Coweta 11-1 Friday at Broken Arrow High School to earn a trip to the Class 5A title game. Carl Albert beat Collinsville 5-3 in the other semifinal game.
