TULSA, Okla. — The State of Oklahoma couldn't hang on to one of its homegrown basketball prospects on Tuesday.
Five-star recruit Bryce Thompson announced he is headed to the University of Kansas to begin his collegiate career next year after an impressive career at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa.
Thompson chose the Jayhawks over his other top picks of Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and the University of North Carolina.
The 6'5 combo-guard ranks 19th overall in the nation among incoming freshman players, according to 247Sports.
Oklahoma State Head Coach Mike Boynton congratulated Thompson on Twitter after the announcement:
