Abmas sticks with ORU, withdraws from NBA Draft

Huge news for Oral Roberts basketball. Max Abmas is sticking with the Golden Eagles. He decided to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft.

The news came Wednesday night just hours before the NCAA deadline for players to withdraw from the draft and return to school.

Abmas lead the country in scoring last season. He averaged 24.5 points a game as a sophomore. And of course, he lead Oral Roberts to the Sweet 16 -- the Cinderella darlings of the NCAA Tournament.

The question remains though if Abmas will get to play again with ORU’s second-leading scorer Kevin Obanor. Obanor put his name in the transfer portal last week, but he could still return to Oral Roberts.
