TULSA, Okla. — A brand new Whataburger restaurant opened Monday afternoon near 41st and I-44 in Tulsa, two years after a tornado ripped through part of midtown.
The Aug. 6, 2017, tornado came through Tulsa in the middle of the night and destroyed the former Whataburger, along with several other businesses.
Many businesses reopened or relocated in the years since the storm.
Whataburger announced Monday the new restaurant officially opened at 3 p.m. with brand new features.
