HULBERT, Okla. — Western Hills’ 43rd Annual Winter Bluegrass Festival begins Thursday.
Oklahoma, Kansas and Arizona bluegrass musicians are headed to Sequoyah State Park Thursday for a weekend of performances, workshops and more.
The event, produced by Western Hills Bluegrass and Oklahoma Tourism, will run Friday, Jan. 20, and Saturday, Jan. 21, as well. Below is a list of the festival’s headliners:
- Heartland Xpress: Sand Springs, Okla. Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- SpringStreet: Muskogee, Okla. Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- Rick Faris and the Faris Brothers: Topeka, Kan. Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- The Bluegrass Travelers: Muskogee, Okla. Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- Blue Tradition: Seminole, Okla. Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- The Roving Gamblers: Winslow, Ariz. Friday and Saturday
Thursday evening will feature a devotion and an All Gospel Bluegrass show. Workshops will run Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. and will feature lessons in vocals, guitar, bass and other instruments. On Saturday, there will be a drawing for an acoustic guitar.
Tickets run between $15 and $20 depending on the day of the festival. A 3-day pass is $45. For more information, you can visit Western Hills’ website.
