Welch cold case sends investigators to Kansas

WELCH, Okla. — New leads sent in a Welch, Oklahoma, cold case sent investigators to Chetopa, Kansas, Saturday.

Teenagers Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman disappeared in 1999 and Freeman’s parents were found dead in their home.

Family members have been hoping to find out what happened ever since. They dug up some land in Chetopa Saturday but said no new evidence was found.
