• Weezer, Pixies announce Tulsa tour stop

    TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa’s BOK Center announced Wednesday that rock bands Weezer and Pixies will appear in concert at the arena in early 2019.

    The show is set for March 27. Tickets go on sale Oct. 19 at 10 a.m.

    Formed in California in 1992, Weezer is known for hits including “Buddy Holly,” “Say It Ain’t So,” “Beverly Hills,” and more. They recently made waves with a cover of “Africa” by Toto that peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. Alternative chart.

    The Pixies is an American alternative rock band that released a handful of gold records in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s before disbanding and then reuniting in 2003.
