Two people struck by a vehicle while in a crosswalk, police say

TULSA, Okla. — Two people were struck while crossing the street in downtown Tulsa Wednesday evening, Tulsa police confirm.

They were struck near 1st Street and Detroit Avenue while in a crosswalk, according to police.

Both people were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police confirmed that a witness that called 911 said the driver “didn’t appear” to have run a red light.

Police are still investigating the incident.
