TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Remote Program, launched by the George Kaiser Family Foundation in November, is welcoming some new faces to Tulsa.
Nearly a dozen people have already moved for the program, and nearly 100 are expected to come throughout the year. The majority should arrive by May.
Executive director of Tulsa Remote, Aaron Bolzle, said the group plans to measure the success of the program by the how many of the finalists choose to stay in Tulsa after the first initial year. He said they have already seen a part of that success with how much the program has helped expose Tulsa to the rest of the country.
Bolzle said there will be nearly 100 finalists who will come to the area, but even more when family and friends come with them.
The Tulsa Remote Program is planning to open applications again in the fall.
