Tulsa police identify homicide victim, seek public’s help

TULSA, Okla. — UPDATE 8/15/2022 11:45 a.m.: Tulsa police identified the man killed in a shooting Saturday morning near 11th and Garnett. Police said 44-year-old Keith Brown was found dead at the scene from a gunshot wound. Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Tulsa police are investigating a shooting in east Tulsa after a homeless man was found dead.

The man was found beside a bus stop near a Sonic located on the corner of 11th and Garnett early Saturday.

Tulsa police said they spoke to several witnesses, some who heard the shot and others that saw people running from the area around 5 a.m.
