• Tulsa police find cash, guns meth in drug bust

    TULSA, Okla. - QUICK FACTS:

    • The Tulsa Police Gang Unit arrested Anthony Brown, Jamar Carroll, Gerald Crooms and Keontae Evans after a drug bust near 8th Street and Lewis Avenue.
    • All four suspects are charged in connection with drug trafficking, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and acquiring proceeds from illegal activity.
    • Carroll and Brown are also charged with participating in gang-related offenses, and Brown is charged with escaping arrest.

    Tulsa Police Gang Unit arrested Anthony Brown, Jamar Carroll, Gerald Crooms and Keontae Evans after a drug bust.

    Officers had a warrant for an apartment near 8th and Lewis. When they looked through the house, they say they found five guns - four of them loaded; boxes of extra ammunition; four body armor vests; over $3,000 cash; and a total of 423 grams of methamphetamine, mostly packaged in very small amounts.

    Anthony Brown slipped off his handcuffs and tried to run, but officers caught him.

    TPD officers say most people who get caught with personal use amounts of meth have about 1 gram or less on them. The amount found in this bust was potentially 423 meth sales equaling about 1,692 doses of meth.
