    Updated:

TULSA, Okla. - The national tour of "Fiddler on the Roof" opens at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on June 18th.

In an email to ticketholders the PAC announced enhanced security measures for the show including:

    • Plan to arrive earlier than usual in anticipation of advanced security measures.
    • New security measures will include metal detection wands and bag searches.
    • Please leave oversized bags and/or backpacks at home, bringing only what you need to the theatre.
    • These enhanced security measures are designed to ensure patron safety.

FOX23 reached out to show organizers for more information on the security measures. They said this is a test run for security measures that will be in place when "Hamilton" comes to the PAC in the summer.

They said there have been no threats, this is just a way to try things out before they implement more security in the future.
