TULSA, Okla. — Nurses at Ascension St. John Hospital in Tulsa made costumes by hand for babies in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU).
Families of NICU babies often find it difficult to feel a sense of normalcy during this stressful time, so the nursing staff goes above and beyond to help bring smiles to their faces.
This year, former NICU families donated books to inspire the costumes. Each child is dressed as the main character from a story.
Ascension St. John is located at 1919 S. Wheeling Ave. in Tulsa.
