TULSA, Okla. - Police said surveillance video and an alert victim helped officers identify a suspect in an armed robbery and kidnapping.

According to investigators, a man was leaving work downtown last month, and when he got to his truck in a nearby parking lot, he was looking at his phone when a stranger approached him, pointing a gun at him.

The suspect ordered the man into the passenger seat and got behind the wheel of the car. He drove him around to several ATMs and demanded the victim take out cash for him.

The suspect released the victim near 54th St. N and Utica, but left with the victim’s truck, phone, coat and cash

Police said the victim started going door to door in the neighborhood for help, and neighbors called officers who came to help him.

The victim remembered some of the ATMs the suspect took him to. Officers worked with the banks to get surveillance photos of the suspect, where they got a clear picture of him.

An officer recognized the man as 18-year-old Fredrick Keith Williams. A warrant is now out for his arrest for robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping.
