“Tulsa King” released its first look at the new series, anchored by prolific actor Sylvester Stallone.
The Paramount+ production, shot in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, as well as New York City, dropped a 30-second teaser trailer showing fans what they can expect from the series.
Stallone plays a member of the New York mafia, Dwight “The General” Manfredi. After 25 years, the gangster is released from prison and ordered by his mob boss to head to Tulsa for “business.”
But, who can Dwight really trust? He creates his own criminal network of unlikely characters in Oklahoma. There is sure to be some culture shock for Dwight with his New York City roots.
“Tulsa King” premieres its first two episodes on Nov. 13 on the Paramount+ streaming service. A new episode will be released each week.
With the co-creator of “Yellowstone” and the executive producer of “The Sopranos,” the series has high expectations.
The series also stars Andrea Savage (“I’m Sorry”), Martin Starr (“Silicon Valley”), Max Casella (“The Tender Bar”), Domenick Lombardozzi (“The Irishman”), Vincent Piazza (“Boardwalk Empire”), Jay Will (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), A.C. Peterson (“Superman & Lois”) with Garrett Hedlund (“The United States vs. Billie Holiday”). The series will be executive-produced by Sheridan, Winter, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin and Allen Coulter. Braden Aftergood is also set to executive-produce.
