Tulsa burger diner vandalized on eve of owner’s childbirth

TULSA, Okla. — Brandy Adkins, who owns Flo’s Burger Diner with her husband, Dennis, is scheduled to deliver her fourth child Wednesday.

She and her family were not expecting the surprise that vandals left for them Wednesday morning — a shattered window.

Though shattered, the window was still in place when the family first got to the diner, so the vandal was not able to take anything. The window fell apart later in front of Dennis and his daughter.

It’s not the first time something like this has happened.

Dennis said about a year and half ago burglars broke another window and stole a cash register. He said their Catoosa store has been broken into twice.

Last night’s incident of vandalism is upsetting because it will cost the family more money, but Dennis said his wife isn’t letting it affect her on such a special day.

Customers offered their support when they came into the diner for lunch and it was business as usual.

Dennis said Brandy will go to the hospital Wednesday evening to deliver their baby girl.
