INDIANAPOLIS — One can almost feel the scornful gaze of a librarian. There was a misspelled word at the Indianapolis Library Services Center -- but library officials were red-faced.
Street markings outside the center advised motorists that the area was for “Librarey Vehicles Only,” WISH-TV reported.
Joe Backe, director of communications for the Indianapolis Public Library, told the television station that the library acknowledged the error and that it would be corrected.
At least library officials kept their sense of humor.
“We don’t see what is so funney?” the Indianapolis Public Library tweeted.
A library employee told a WISH photographer who captured the mistake that a contractor was responsible for the misspelling, the television station reported.
