GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — A 70-year-old woman died Tuesday when she fell off the south rim of the Grand Canyon, the fourth fatality at the national park in the past month.
Before rescue crews arrived, the woman, whose identity has not been released, fell 200 feet to her death, KNXV reported.
A 15-member rescue recovered the woman's body later Tuesday afternoon, KTVK reported.
It was the fourth fatality at or near the national park since late March.
A 67-year-old California man died April 3 when he fell 400 feet from the edge of the south rim.
