TPD asks public’s help identifying woman who stole a gun from a downtown apartment

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police are looking for a woman they suspect stole a gun from an apartment in downtown Tulsa on Nov. 14, 2022.

Police said the apartment belongs to the owner of The Gypsy Coffee House, and it sits on top of the coffee shop.

The burglar is seen on video sneaking upstairs where customers aren’t allowed. Footage also showed the burglar trying to calm down a dog before going into the apartment.

“The big issue here is the fact that we have someone who clearly has a proclivity for criminal behavior,” said Tulsa Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg. “We now have a gun on the streets by someone who’s a near-do-well.”

Once inside, police said she took multiple things, including a gun, from the apartment. Gypsy Coffee House’s owner reported that $7,000 worth of items were stolen from his home.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the woman. Anyone with information is asked to call (918)-596-COPS.

“Hopefully we can find that gun, recover it, get it back to the owner and put this person in jail,” Meulenberg said.
