TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Tahlequah Public Schools has canceled class for two days over water line issues.

Officials from the school district say school has been canceled for Thursday and Friday.

The closure comes as the result of water line troubles at an area school. Officials said the school flooded after a main sprinkler line burst.

Crews have been working to clean up and repair the building after the break happened Tuesday. They said they have had to cut out about two feet of drywall in some parts of the building. As much as two inches of water reportedly left behind damage in a hallway and about 10 classrooms.

Students were supposed to return to class after winter break Thursday.

Class is now expected to resume Monday.

Student activities are scheduled to go on as planned.
