Suspect seen beating dog in video arrested for animal cruelty, Tulsa police say

TULSA, Okla. — An animal abuse suspect seen in a Ring video severely beating and stomping on a dog has been arrested, Tulsa police said on Saturday.

On Oct. 7, Ring shared the video on their app as an “incident or safety alert” and it was quickly reported to law enforcement agencies.

The video also showed a second man allowing the abuse to take place, police said.

Police later identified the men in the video as Kevon Hicks and Litrayle Haynes.

Hicks was arrested at his apartment in Savannah Landing and Hayes turned himself in after being contacted by police.

Police said they also recovered “Chi Chi” and she is in good health. Chi Chi was taken by Tulsa Animal Welfare to be examined and cared for.

Haynes and Hicks face animal cruelty charges.
