Tulsa, Okla. — Representative Carol Bush authored HB3024 last year the legislature expanded the statute of limitations for child sexual abuse.
It did not make the change retroactive-- which means anyone abused before the law change was effective wasn’t helped if they were already beyond the original statute of limitations.
This bill, HB3024, would get rid of the statute of limitations all-together.
Earlier this month it passed the house judiciary committee. It goes to the full house next for a vote.
