Snapchat Spectacles sold out at the Blue Whale in Catoosa

CATOOSA, Okla. — Quick Facts:

  • Snapchat is selling Spectacles at the Blue Whale in Catoosa on Tuesday
  • As part of a marketing campaign the company is selling the Spectacles at certain locations for one day only
  • On the site it shows Tuesday's bot location is the Blue Whale.
  • The machine sold out around 10 a.m.

The machine ran out of spectacles around 10 a.m.

They go for $130 a piece at the vending machine, but users can find them for more than $1,000 a piece on eBay.

Online articles said the vending machines only appeared two other places.

The Snapchat Spectacles have a built in Snap video camera that allows users to capture life's moments from their own perspective with the press of a button. They capture and save Snaps in a new circular video format,
