Small business owners feeling impacts of inflation

TULSA, Okla. — Not only are we feeling the high prices at the gas pump and grocery stores, small business owners are too.

Devin Williams with DW Speakeasy, a late night lounge spot on Greenwood, said these challenging times.

“I’m paying everyone that needs to be paid, with these high alcohol taxes right now I feel the recession just like everyone else.”

He’s also said he’s working with customers to keep things affordable.

“I’ve had to lower my cover, different things like that because people just don’t have as much money anymore so really all the revenue right now is getting heavily taxed,” he said.

According to the U.S Chamber of Commerce, 88-percent of small business owners are concerned about inflation impacts.
