Second person arrested, police looking for two others involved in Taft shooting

MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. — Arrest warrants were issued for three people involved in a shooting in Taft on Memorial Day weekend. One person was taken into custody.

Larry Edwards, the Muskogee County District Attorney, said arrest warrants were issued for Gervorise Warrior, Kendall Alexander and Keshaun Jackson for their involvement in the shooting.

“We issued the arrest warrants yesterday late and tried to execute those this morning with the help of numerous law enforcement agencies specifically OHP OSBI and the Muskogee police department,” Said Edwards.

Alexander was taken into custody Friday morning during one of the searches at an apartment complex near 44th and Highway 62.

Law enforcement is still looking for Warrior and Jackson. The investigation is ongoing.

One person, Skylar Buckner, had already surrendered to authorities in connection with the shooting that left one woman dead and seven others injured.

All four suspects are charged with the same counts in the case, “one count of murder first degree and eight counts of shooting with intent to kill,” Edwards said.

Edwards says there may be more suspects to name in the future.

“We do know that there were multiple casing at the scene so we are still looking at possible other shooters,” He said. He says four different calibers of shell casings were found, “one of them was an assault rifle,” he said.

The DA’s office is asking anyone with information to come forward.

“If you know where these other two people are - so we can have them arrested and put them in jail so we can continue to protect the public”

Edwards said thanks go out to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office, Muskogee Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for their hard work in this case.
