    Story Highlights

    Quick Facts:

    • Winter Weather Advisory starts off the week with the chance of winter precip
    • Temperatures stay on the cold side, well below freezing for several mornings
    • Things warm back up for the end of the week before another cold front arrives

As November settles in Green Country, temperatures are dropping behind multiple cold fronts, making it feel more late December and early January than mid-November.

The more winter-like weather won't be here long term, but be prepared for some frigid conditions before the warm-up arrives.

Temperatures will be dropping throughout the day with another cold front moving through. The chance of winter precipitation will be sticking around through most of the morning before moving out of Green Country.

Accumulation amounts will be 1-2" through most of the northern half of the area with some places having higher accumulations.

Not everyone will be dealing with the winter precip. Some places will keep it as rain with temperatures staying above freezing while the rain is still around.

Morning conditions will be on the intense side because of temperatures and wind chills. Morning lows will in the teens but when you factor in the winds, it will be feeling more like the single digits.

Thankfully things will be on the dry side with these cold temperatures, but if anyone is outside, especially in the morning, it is key to make sure that layers are on.

By the afternoon, temperatures will be back up in the 40s with a decent amount of sunshine to enjoy.

Very similar conditions to Tuesday with the intensely cold morning but warming up for the afternoon.

Heavy coats in the morning with better temperatures and more sunshine in the afternoon.

Warmer weather moves in for the end of the week with highs back up in the 50s and morning temperatures not quite as cold as early in the week.

Layers would still be a good idea for the morning hours with jackets wanted for the afternoon hours.

The warmest day of the week arrives just in time for the work-week to be over and the weekend to start.

Dry weather will be great to kick off the weekend. Be sure to get out and enjoy it.

Clouds and cooler temperatures roll in for the weekend with another cold front moving through the area. Good news is that this cold front will be a dry one.

Morning temperatures through the weekend will be below freezing again so be prepared for that if you are running in the Route 66 Marathon or other races on Sunday.
