When will the allergy problems finally stop?

Quick Facts

  • Ragweed season is upon Green Country
  • For things to clear out, freezing temperatures are needed
  • There is some slight relief on the way

Fall means leaves falling down, another round of rain and storms, and more pollen in the air for people suffering from allergies.

Ragweed typically makes an appearance toward the end of summer and ramps up through fall until freezing temperatures make an appearance.

FOX23 Chief Meteorologist James Aydelott says that freezing temperatures are needed to bring down some of the pollen levels. He also says that as September ends, ragweed pollens will slowly start to come down.
