• Warmer temperatures arrive by mid-week

    By: Megan McClellan

    Quick Facts:

    • Temperatures climb back above average
    • Storm chances kick off the week
    • Next rain chance arrives by the weekend

It seems like Green Country has been on the temperature roller coaster a lot recently and it doesn't look like that will end anytime soon.

The foggy, soupy, and rainy start to the day will transition to storm chances for the evening. A cold front is marching towards Green Country that will drop temperatures below freezing but not for long.

The storm chances for the evening look like they will stay below the severe level at this point.

The cold front moves through, clearing out the rain chances and the clouds. This will allow temperatures to warm up despite the northern winds bringing in some of the cooler and dry air.

The day will still be a nice one to enjoy, so make sure you grab your sunglasses and a jacket to step outside and enjoy it!

A warming trend will arrive in Green country, pushing temperatures into the 60s and eventually into the 70s.

Southern winds will aid in the warm-up but also be aware that the winds as strong as they are will increase the fire danger for Green Country.

The warmest day of the week arrives just in time for Valentine's Day. It is not only the warmest day of the week but could also be the warmest of 2019 so far!

Enjoy the sunshine and warm weather but again, remember the fire danger threat is still there!

Colder temperatures arrive for Friday as another cold front moves in. Not looking at any rain chances yet but they are on the horizon.

Be sure to have jackets and coats handy with temperatures cooling back down more for the end of the weekend.

The weekend will start with some dry but cool conditions. Temperatures will drop more into Sunday as another blast of colder air arrives with rain chances arriving as well.
