If you spent any time outside this weekend, then you noticed just how hot it felt! Well, that summer heat is sticking around for the first part of the new week.

An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for Monday afternoon with a heat advisory issued for Tuesday afternoon. Actual temperatures will climb towards 99° with the chance to see 100° in Tulsa on Monday or Tuesday. Should we reach 100°, it will be the FIRST time this year that Tulsa has seen that and it will go down as the second latest time that we've seen our first 100° day in Tulsa.

By the time the middle of the week arrives, temperatures will start to come down some with showers and storms rolling through. The rain chances will start off lower but then crank up for Thursday with widespread showers and storms. Temperatures will also drop into the 80s by Thursday and stay there through Friday before things start to warm back up for the weekend.

Showers and storms will remain possible through at least part of the weekend although the weekend doesn't look like a washout by any means right now.
