• Cooler temperatures move in again this week

The frigid weekend temperatures kept some people inside while others didn't let the cold keep them from spending time outside.

With some cooler temperatures moving in soon, you'll want to make sure you enjoy the warmer temperatures and the sunshine while you can.

    MONDAY

Warmer temperatures arrive thanks to the sunshine and strong southern winds that continue from Sunday. Winds will be strong enough through the afternoon that a Wind Advisory is in place for most of Green Country.

Gusts likely up 35 or 40 miles per hour out of the south. The fact that the winds are out of the south will keep temperatures above what is considered normal for this time of year.

Enjoy the sunshine AND warm weather together while you can.

    TUESDAY

Rain chances start to make an appearance ahead of another cold front. Winds will still be strong but will be transitioning from the south to the north as the cold front moves through.

Once the cold front pushes through your neighborhood, temperatures will start to cool down, eventually dropping below freezing for Wednesday morning.

    WEDNESDAY

Be prepared for a freezing start to the day with cooler temperatures sticking around through the day. The good news is that things won't stay below freezing all day. Instead, they will climb back into the 40s for the afternoon with a decent amount of sunshine.

    THURSDAY

More rain chances arrive but they will be very isolated. Clouds start to move back into Green Country as well.

Strong winds out of the north will keep things on the cool side through the next couple of days.

    FRIDAY

BRRR! Temperatures will be in the upper teens and low 20s to kick off the day. The good news is that a day mixed with sun and clouds will allow temperatures to climb back into the 40s.

Even with the sunshine and warm winds, temperatures are going to remain below the average high for this part of January.

    WEEKEND

Going into the week, you'll still want your jackets and coats. Morning temperatures will be in the 20s with afternoon highs in the 40s. Some isolated rain chances will be possible but it won't wash out the weekend.
