• Cold temperatures warm-up before rain chances arrive

    By: Megan McClellan

    Quick Facts:

    • Temperatures start out below freezing for a few days
    • Highs are below average until about mid-week
    • Rain chances return for the end of the work week and into the weekend

After a strong cold front arrived over the weekend, temperatures really cooled down with strong northern winds. That allowed conditions for a new week to kick off on the cold side of things.

Clear skies will be nice after the cloudy and gloomy looking Sunday. Temperatures will climb back into the 40s through the afternoon but with the northern winds, it'll feel more like the 30s into the afternoon.

More cold weather to start the day but thankfully winds won't be as strong and as cold so the wind chill is not as big of a concern as on Monday.

Skies remain clear and temperatures will be slowly warming up through the week.

Great day ahead with mostly sunny skies and temperatures warming back up into the 50s. The afternoon will be feeling more like late-November rather than late-December or early-January.

Keep jackets handy for the morning and evening though.

Cloud coverage starts to increase as a front pushes through and ahead of the rain chances for the weekend.

Temperatures will be back in the 60s making for the best day of the week!

If you enjoy warm weather and sunshine, this is the day to get outside and enjoy it!

Clouds continue to increase ahead of the rain chances arriving. Even with the clouds, temperatures will remain in the 60s making for a nice Friday.

Late in the day, rain chances will be returning to Green Country with the chance of showers and some storms possible.

Rain chances stick around with temperatures slowly cooling down from the 60s into the 50s.

Keeping umbrellas and jackets handy through the entire weekend will be a good idea.
