SAPULPA, Okla. — Quick Facts:

Sapulpa police responded to a shooting late Wednesday evening at the Pine Apartments.
When they arrived, Jacob Richardson, 19, was lying dead on the floor from a gunshot wound.
Police records stated that roommate Cory Hill told officers Richardson was playing with a pistol and accidentally shot himself.
He told them the gun was pointed at Hill, playfully. He walked over to grab it and disarm him, but the gun went off.
Hill said he was shocked that the gun was loaded.
Officers found cash, marijuana, scales and drug notations in the apartment.
Friends of Hill and Richardson said they are close and called the shooting a tragic accident.
Hill was booked in the Creek County Jail on a first-degree manslaughter charge.
