Tulsa officers get national attention after puppy rescue

TULSA, Okla. — Five puppies abandoned at a Tulsa QuikTrip on Christmas Day were able to find special homes thanks to a group of Tulsa police officers.

Tulsa police said five puppies were found in a zipped duffle bag on the counter of a QuikTrip.

When police were made aware of the situation, they responded to the scene and overwhelmed with Christmas spirit, decided to adopt the puppies. The fifth puppy went home with a QuikTrip employee.

Those officers later got national attention for their rescue. The four Tulsa police officers were featured on Fox & Friends along with their rescue pups Dec. 30.
