“Pop-up” sculpture tour makes its way to Philbrook

TULSA, Okla. — A large scale “pop-up” sculpture tour has made it’s way to Philbrook Museum.

The sculpture, titled “That Place in The Star” was created by Christopher Curtis, an artist out of Vermont.

The journey from Vermont was 1,500 miles, and the artist drove and installed the piece himself.

“Oftentimes when we see art traveling we have couriers, this was actually the artist of the piece doing the tour,” said Jeff Martin, Director of Communications at Philbrook.

After May 11, the piece will be taken to the private collection of a Philbrook supporter.
