Construction crews are continuing to work on a plaza in Cherokee County after someone reportedly stole tools from them.

The burglary took place at the site where the new Cherokee Spring shopping plaza, hotel and casino are being built.

Construction is ongoing.

The company said tools were stolen from the site.

They said someone broke into the work trailer there and two trucks.

Tahlequah police are investigating the burglary, and the Cherokee marshal is also assisting with the investigation, as part of the property is outside the city limits.
