- Witnesses at the scene say that the man also had a knife.
- Officers found James Middlestadt lying on the ground near the QT with a gunshot wound in his groin area.
- Police interviewed the security guard downtown and found that his story matched up with surveillance video.
- Police discovered two cartridge casings in the parking lot and the large wooden didgeridoo.
